Thomas Boucourt

Thomas Boucourt is an accomplished Banquet Manager and Senior Lecturer for the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland. With 25 years of industry experience, Thomas has dedicated his career to the pursuit of excellence in service, training, and hospitality management.
Thomas began his career working with caterers in his home region of Normandy, France. As his skills and knowledge grew, he began working with larger scale events and fine dining caterers, applying his expertise around the world from Paris to Australia. He joined EHL in 2011, and has served as the banquet manager since 2013, where he manages a variety of events - some with up to 1200 guests!
Thomas is passionate about hospitality service, and enjoys passing on his world-class depth of knowledge to students as emerging leaders in the industry. He finds incredible fulfilment and beauty in creating grand events from an empty room, and teaches his students to understand how the smallest service details can influence the ambience, scene, and experience of a banqueted event.
