Health and safety consultant in the hospitality industry

Nina Fairweather has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been practicing food hygiene and health and safety for over 20 of those years. Today she is a health and safety consultant providing support to a wide range of businesses on the completion of COVID-19 risk assessments.

Nina began her career in catering, working for independent restaurants. She went on to manage Jazz Bar and Restaurant Palookaville, was Back of House Manager at the Waldorf Hotel in London, and more recently headed up Safety and Security for the EMEA Division of Starwood Hotels and Resorts. She has also developed global policies and procedures and training programs and has been heavily involved in dealing with crisis management which encompassed outbreak management including foodborne illness, legionella, norovirus, H1N1, MERS, Ebola, and Zika virus.

Alongside her health and safety consulting, Nina is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH), a Fellow of the Institute of International Risk Safety Management (FIIRSM), and a member of Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS). She is also registered on the Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register (OSHCR).
