Lesson Details

Up there with the coffee greats - espresso and cappuccino - the macchiato stems from baristas needing to show waiters the difference between an espresso and an espresso with milk. The name essentially means ‘marked’ or 'stained' and comes from the idea of marking straight espresso with a dash of milk.

In this lesson learn what a macchiato is, how to make it and how to serve it.
