Steffen Bach is a knife expert and owner of Suba Knives, a sharpening and knife production company located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Steffen has worked in the knife industry for 10 years, honing his art to become an expert in knife craftsmanship.
Steffen began his career as an apprentice chef. He made an impression early on, earning Chef Apprentice of the Year in Denmark, and later across all of Scandinavia. Steffen then became a chef at the three-Michelin-starred Geranium.
After discovering a passion for kitchen knives, Steffen moved to Osaka, Japan for four years to study under some of the most respected masters of knife sharpening. He is proud to say he is one of only three non-Japanese people to have undergone this extraordinary training.
Steffen's passion and commitment to the culinary field has seen him travel the world as a lauded expert. His goal now is to share his knowledge and help newcomers find as much joy in the art of knife skills as he does.
