The Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) micro-credentialing program provided Victorian tourism, event, and hospitality businesses, their staff, and individuals wanting to gain work in these industries with the opportunity to acquire specific skills, or micro-credentials, through a comprehensive online delivery platform, Typsy.
The program aimed to support workers and workplaces across Victoria by offering focused training in specific customer service skills to help employees and businesses adopt innovations and improve productivity.
This program has now concluded.
What is a Micro-credential?
On completion of all courses, the learner must successfully complete a quiz that focuses on the key learning outcomes from the course to achieve the digital ‘certification or credential’.
The duration of an entire course varies from 30 minutes of viewing time to a maximum of 60 minutes each.
This new approach to industry-led professional development is personalised and transferrable across sectors. These are short courses, that can prepare candidates for further study or further employment.
