Rob Wilson is the CEO, or Chief Toaster, of Toast Ale, an award-winning craft beer made from surplus bread.
A self-described serial social entrepreneur, Rob has founded a number of social change organizations over the past 15 years including READ International in East Africa and Undivided and Generation Change in the UK.
He met Tristram Stuart, the founder of Toast Ale, while leading Ashoka – an organization that identifies and invests in social entrepreneurs. He was instantly captured by the concept behind the beer and joined Toast Ale soon after.
As Toast Ale’s Chief Toaster, Rob continues his work towards social change by turning surplus bread into great beer, raising awareness about food waste, and feeding the company’s profits into the food waste charity Feedback.
