Co-founder and Distiller at Four Pillars Gin

Cameron McKenzie is a co-founder and distiller at Four Pillars Gin, a small gin distillery located in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.

Prior to Four Pillars, Cameron gained considerable experience in the wine trade, working in the industry for fifteen years. There he developed a keen eye and understanding of Victoria’s wines – he had been involved in production before moving into communications, sales and marketing for several wine brands.

A lover of gin and spirits, the knowledge and experience Cameron gained in the wine industry helped incredibly with crafting gin. He teamed up with Matt Jones and Stuart Gregor to slowly and successfully create what is now Four Pillars Gin.

In December 2013 the trio launched their first gin and have since released a handful of craft gin products. In 2015 and 2016, Four Pillars won the ‘Master’ medal at the Global Gin Masters in London.

The four pillars that their gin is built on is their

1. Still copper pot stills (made by CARL in Germany)

2. The water used to create their gin (sourced from the Yarra Valley)

3. Quality botanicals
