Reif Othman is a multi-award-winning chef whose work has been instrumental in transforming the culinary landscape of Dubai and the U.A.E. His inventive culinary creations have seen Reif gain global recognition and become one of the most sought-after chefs in the world.
At the age of 14, Reif’s passion for cooking grew in his family kitchen. Since then he has gone on to study at culinary school, train under world-leading chefs, and head kitchens around the world.
Reif’s passion for pushing the culinary boundaries has seen him win a host of awards including Best Newcomer - Time Out Magazine 2016, Chef of the Year - WHAT’s On Magazine 2016, Innovative Chef of the Year - ProChef 2016, as well as becoming the first Asian to be inducted into the Bord Bia Chefs' Irish Beef Club.
On top of all of that, Reif has won awards for many of the kitchens he has worked in. During his time as Executive Chef for Zuma Restaurants, he led Zuma Dubai to sit at the top of the San Pellegrino World’s Best list for four consecutive years. Then, as owner and chef at PLAY Restaurant and Lounge, Reif and the team won Time Out – Best Asian Restaurant and Time Out Restaurant of the Year.
